“Culture is good at pointing to things and naming them, but not so good at describing the relationship between things.” — Keller Easterling, Medium Design

Studio Analogies begins in the space between things. We approach design as a cultural practice that reimagines relationships.

Our work spans a range of scales and contexts — from SPARC Kips Bay, a multi-stakeholder campus that bridges city agencies and educational institutions to strengthen New York’s social infrastructure, to the Hell’s Kitchen residence, where a 2% offset from the Manhattan grid negotiates between neighborhood expression and rigid regulations. From a Shanghai residence, where a looping millwork system threads through domestic programs to foster unexpected encounters, to the Shenzhen Bay Towers, where twin 400-meter forms converge to create new public amenities above and shared grounds below — each project examines how architecture mediates relationships.

Studio Analogies rewrites the interplay between old and new through a rigorous yet playful approach. Our work creates environments where architecture, interiors, branding, landscape, and digital media converge with care — turning constraints into conversations and design into cultural exchange.
